Welcome Mark.
PS: I see from your profile 2001 is your favorite movie. I can't argue with that. |

Best of luck tonight from a fan in the frozen north, unfortunately I can't make it down to London to see it but I look forward (listen forward?) to hearing the new album.
(Besides, my ears are still whistling after going to the Giant Tank night last night....) |

Rock on.
Do you know any decent venues / promoters in Scotland. We'd sure like to play there.... |

Plenty of venues but it's been a while since I dealt with a promoter. Leave it with me for a few days, I'll do some digging. |

A huge thank you to everyone who came. Not perhaps out tightest performance, but not completely shoddy either.
Either way, we had a monster audience there, and the promoters were very happy with that.
It's also interesting to know that our music actually scares townies away rather than provoking an aggressive response. When we arrived, there was a very merry group of gents who gave the first band a hearty rendition of "Show me the way to Amarillo", and seemed more interested in performing for the band's benefit than allowing them to play.
When we came on, they seemed to develop headaches and left without any heckling action - almost as if our guitars emitted some kind of frequency that scares people in Ben Sherman shirts.
This is beginning to sound like the seeds of some kind of diabolical eugenics project designed be Angela Carter.
I'll stop now while I'm ahead. Or behind. |

| The townie response added to my experience enourmously. As I was laughing with hysterical glee I could only be further entertained by the perplexed frowns of horror, manifest beneath the uniform haircuts. Is it possible to somehow dupe a gang of unsuspecting townies to be at all your gigs? Perhaps you should ditch the name 'Thumpermonkey' for the far more catchy 'Ben Sherman Collective?' |

The word "collective" makes it sound like some kind of hippy commune.
Lets rename ourselves "Ben Sherman, and the Baressi Yellowjackets". |

Not at all - looks very useful. We're just about to start working with a Promotor based in Middlesborough to take care of gigs oop north - I'm sure they will find all this info verrrrrry useful....
Thanks a bundle! |

I think your music contains elements of chug, and moments of horse. That is all.
I can see the banners now:
"Thumpermonkey! - Elements of Chug. Moments of Horse." |
