Thumpermonkey have been nominated in this year’s Progressive Music Awards in the ‘Limelight’ category. This is a huge deal for us, taking into consideration the calibre of the bands involved in last year’s event, so we’re really excited even to have been nominated.

Of course, it goes without saying that we’d really like to win – and that’s where you come in. The awards take place on September 3 in London, and are based on votes. Voting kicked off just after 6pm today and carries on right through to August 14.

We’re up against some pretty stiff competition, so please vote for us by following this link, or clicking the image above.

Thumpermonkey are currently in the process of creating a very limited edition repressing of ‘Bring Me Sun For Breakfast‘, featuring new on-body CD artwork, along with the lyric sheet from the original pressing. To celebrate, we also have a recent live video of album opener ‘My Reality is Stronger‘ in the works, filmed by Ashley Jones at the Westminster Kingsway College theatre, (with help from John Mackenzie of Godzilla Black), and featuring beautiful live visuals by Emily Bailey.

We’re pleased to announce that ‘When Scouts Go Bad‘ from Sleep Furiously has been chosen as in-game music for Funcom’s epic Lovecraftian MMORPG, ‘The Secret World‘.
